The roof makes the power, the battery stores it for the evening and keeps the house running in a blackout, and the car charges from the sun. Battery installation in Wollongong
Most Illawarra homes with solar can add a battery, and homes without solar can put both in at once. The federal discount is around $272 per usable kWh on the first 14 kWh for installs by 31 December 2026, stepping down on 1 January 2027. We tell you honestly whether a battery pays for itself on your bills before you commit.
Coastal homes and escarpment roofs
Homes close to the beach get salt air, and manufacturers have rules about how batteries and inverters are installed near the coast. Homes under the escarpment can lose sun early in the afternoon. We check both at the site visit and design the system around the sun your roof actually gets.

Wollongong and the Illawarra are on Endeavour Energy's network. Solar and battery systems need Endeavour's approval to connect, and some homes have an export limit. We lodge the application and tell you about any limit before you commit.
